Scope

This privacy policy covers the Browsless browser extension.

What Browsless stores locally

- Workflows, folders, editor settings, shortcuts, and other extension preferences.

- User-created variables, tables, and local workflow data.

- Credentials and secrets that you explicitly save inside the extension.

What Browsless does not do by default

- Does not require a hosted account to use core features.

- Does not send your workflows or stored data to a developer-operated cloud backend.

- Does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics for routine extension usage.

When data may leave your browser

Browsless automates websites and browser actions on your behalf. When you run a workflow, the extension may interact with websites you open, submit forms, download files, read page content, or send network requests that you explicitly configure through workflow blocks such as webhooks, HTTP requests, fetch calls, or external integrations.

Permissions

Browsless may request browser permissions such as tabs, scripting, storage, active tab, web navigation, downloads, cookies, notifications, clipboard access, context menus, proxy, debugger, and offscreen access. These permissions are used only to provide the automation features you choose to run.

Your control

You control what data is added to Browsless, which workflows run, which websites they access, and which external services they contact. You can edit or delete stored workflows and data at any time, and uninstalling the extension removes its local access going forward.

Security note

If you store credentials or automate third-party services, treat your browser profile and device as sensitive. The security of automated actions also depends on the websites, APIs, and services you choose to use with your workflows.

Policy updates

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the extension or its data handling. Material changes will be published on this page.
